FROM FASHION WEEK TO YOUR CLOSET

This season, as a final victory over the bygone days of confinement, we’re making a point of getting ready to go out on any occasion.

We’re enjoying it, and it’s reflected in our fun, fresh and more structured silhouettes.

Discover the Vitrine’s 8 favorite trends, and how to adopt them.

We’re letting go of our “cosy at home” looks, and replacing them with a style inspired by office wardrobes (blazers, pleated pants, loafers…) but where every eccentricity is allowed – and that’s the most exhilarating part.

We dare to use pop colors, the craziest materials (lace, leather, metallic effects…) and more distinctive cuts, to reappropriate these classic codes as a unique and assertive way of revealing our femininity.

More than ever, we play with proportions, accentuating volumes (at shoulder level ++ ), marking the waist, to create dynamic looks, full of vitality, where the garment seems to have been sculpted on us, without giving up comfort.
To complete this season’s impact, our changing habits are leading us towards more reasoned consumption.

Choosing rather than impulsively, favoring sustainable and environmentally-friendly pieces, buying with a conscience is becoming sexy! Let’s embrace this trend without moderation, by opting for timeless pieces, produced locally if possible, to make our clothes truly vibrant.

1) Size play

Very high or a few very low, this season, waistlines are playing with extremes, and there’s no room for the average waistline.  To make the right choice, opt for a high waist (or even a very high waist), which will be more chic and flattering on most figures.

2) Flower power

Flowers are in the spotlight this spring! Present in all its technical and aesthetic variations, it’s sure to brighten up this time of year.  We love them in print, but prefer them in 3D, in highly volumized or serrated versions.

3) Layering is the new chic

To dance in style with the barometric variations of the season, “layering” – the art of stacking your favorite pieces to build a sophisticated look – is very much in vogue this year.

The key is to let your creativity do the talking, allowing each item to express its full potential for its own sake, as well as in the strength it brings to the combinations.

Play with materials and shades of color for a successful minimalist monochrome look; or with the wildest combinations (skirts over pants, for example) for a more assertive style.

4) Transparent incense

It’s the romantic touch that reveals the silhouette with delicacy and subtlety.

White or black, revealing just one arm or the whole body, the most daring adopt it with top-of-the-range lingerie, revealing all their mastery in the art of combining two of the season’s leading trends.

5) Structure for allure

A direct descendant of the corporate world, and a symbol of elegance at all times, structure this year redefines the codes of “office wear”, pushing certain volumes (shoulders/sleeves +++, or details like pockets, cinched waist) to the extreme, twisting our classics to propel them into the zeitgeist.

To adopt the lines of an architectural, urban silhouette, and allow you to embody your full power with confidence, your must-haves will be :

  • The Peplum: this top, with its marked waist and flared bottom, is a far cry from its ancient Greek origins.

Since its origins in the 19th century, when it described a short skirt added to the bottom of a jacket, with a flounce at the waist to emphasize the camber, initially designed for the men’s wardrobe, it has been making a constant comeback on the catwalks. From its popularization as a jacket in the 40s thanks to Dior’s “New Look” tailoring, through the “power dressing” trend that Thierry Mugler appropriated and hijacked in the 80s, to the 2010s, it’s the star of different eras, proving that fashion is a cycle, an eternal restart. We love the sculptural allure it sketches on our silhouette, shaping the waist, hiding the belly, emphasizing the hips, creating a stunning arch: it promises to become, once again, a darling of the season.

Adopt it by hijacking its primary codes: a strapless version, with volumized sleeves, and very graphic for a chic style, or a more fluid bohemian version for a more relaxed look.
Whatever you choose, it’s sure to make an impact.

  • The pencil skirt, in bold shades, or preferably denim, with a slit if possible for an even more chic and trendy look.

  • A blazer with precise contours to match XXL volumes

6) Trousers in all their variations

From wide-leg jeans to cargo-style pants, Bermuda shorts and capri pants, there’s something for every taste and every combination.

Under a skirt or an oversized blazer for the trendiest, most advanced versions, pants are this season’s sure bet.

For the more adventurous, micro-shorts have made their way onto the catwalk. Like its close cousin, the bodysuit, which is also making a comeback, it can be worn with nylon stockings for a safe start.

For the rest of us, more classic shorts, though less common, are still the order of the day.

7) The ” more skin “, the more beautiful

Bare shoulders or completely bare backs, this glamorous, chic and practical trend for staying stylish with a light touch will delight our seasonal change.

8) Key accessories

Perfect your day-to-evening looks:

  • vintage, polymetallic (gold and silver worn together) and beaded jewelry

  • slouchy” bag , without frame, has made several appearances in the streets and on the 2024 catwalks.
We love its XXL practicality and bohemian airs, bringing a minimalist, effortless look to the silhouette.

  • shoes: flat for the most part, from sandals to ballerina-maryjanes to spartiates.

A red shoe with a pointed toe will easily replace your more classic black pumps, while a satin-finished pair will delight your spring summer.

The platform loafer, an emerging trend in Italy, may well remain the star shoe for this, or even several years to come.
